RepLog is free to download and use. A one-time Pro in-app purchase unlocks the full feature set. No subscription, no recurring fees.
Pro unlocks the full feature set: unlimited goals, custom goal types (define your own fields, icons, and colors), full session history (free tier shows the last 30 days), and the Analytics tab — practice streaks, time-per-goal breakdowns, BPM history charts, and trends over time.
Pro includes iCloud/Dropbox database sync, with practice reminders coming in a future update. All future features are included in the one-time purchase.
Yes. A single App Store purchase covers all your personal Macs signed in with the same Apple ID — standard Mac App Store licensing.

RepLog requires macOS 11 Big Sur or later. It runs on macOS 11 through 15 Sequoia.
Yes. RepLog is a universal binary — native on both Apple Silicon (M1, M2, M3, M4) and Intel Macs with no Rosetta translation.
Features
Any instrument. RepLog is not guitar-specific — guitar, bass, piano, drums, violin, winds, voice, whatever you practice. The session tracker, goal system, and metronome work for everyone. The chromatic tuner works for any pitched instrument.
When you create a goal, you set a target BPM. After each practice segment, RepLog asks for your current BPM. It calculates your progress percentage as current ÷ target × 100 and shows it on the goal card and dashboard.
If BPM isn’t what you’re tracking, you can log a plain completion percentage instead — or both.
The tuner uses your Mac’s microphone and autocorrelation pitch detection to find the fundamental frequency of what you’re playing. It shows the nearest note name, octave, frequency in Hz, and how many cents sharp or flat you are.
The display uses a majority-vote stability filter so it doesn’t flicker between notes — it only updates when it’s confident enough readings agree. macOS will ask for microphone permission the first time you use it.
Yes. Starting with version 2.0.2, RepLog supports syncing your practice data via iCloud Drive and Dropbox, keeping multiple Macs in sync automatically.

No. RepLog is completely offline. Your sessions, goals, and progress data never leave your Mac. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
All data is stored in a local SQLite database in your Mac’s Application Support folder. It’s your data — you can back it up, inspect it, or delete it at any time.
